Computer Animation via Optical Video Disc
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper explores the notion of marrying two technologies: raster-scan computer animation and optical video discs. Animated sequences, generated at non real-time rates, then transfered to video disc, can be recalled under user control at real-time rates. Highly detailed animation may be combined with other media in interactive systems. Such systems inherently offer a greater degree of flexiblity to the animator. The implementation of one such system is discussed

This paper describes the aims and concepts of the FP7 RE@CT project. Building upon the latest advances in 3D capture and free-viewpoint video RE@CT aims to revolutionise the production of realistic characters and significantly reduce costs by developing an automated process to extract and represent animated characters from actor performance capture in a multiple camera studio. The key innovatio...
متن کاملInteractive Quadruped Animation
An animation system entitled CAT (Cat Animation Tool) has been developed to explore an alternative workflow for novice animation, specifically focusing on quadruped animation. The system adds 3D interaction to the traditional animation pipeline with the intent of easing authoring and thereby widening the authoring audience. Users initially create high-level locomotion by specifying a 3D input c...

This chapter concerns the theoretical and empirical foundations and current progress of the Digital Interactive Video Exploration and Reflection (DIVER) Project at Stanford University. The DIVER Project aspires to accelerate cultural appropriation of video as a fluid expressive medium for generating, sharing, and critiquing different perspectives on the same richly recorded events and to work w...
متن کاملX3D Web Based Algorithm Animation
3D web software visualization has always been expensive, special purpose and hard to programme. Flash requires proprietary authoring tools and involves large amounts of scripting to produce 3D effects, Java applets are slow to load and are not reliable on all platforms, and VRML is no longer maintained. We can make 3D software visualization cheap, portable and easy by using X3D, which is a ligh...
